Day 12: Dropped another bombshell

Eventful day yesterday. Went to the gym, walked Bear. Made a Sunday dinner for me, Ali, Mum and Dad. Told them about the cancer. 

Very difficult, had to get Ali to start the conversation. Couldn’t bring myself to actually say the words. I hate dropping bombshells.They were shocked, particularly Dad.  He didn’t look good at all. Bit worried about how this will affect him. I am urging them to still have their holiday in Spain in May. 

Went to meet some friends in the pub for a drink. Michelle has cancer… It was helpful for me to talk to someone who has actually had breast cancer.

Went to bed late and not a great sleep. Spoke to Niamh yesterday and she had a good weekend for her birthday despite my news on Friday. 

Still feeling positive about my CT results. I have been listening on IT about the mind/body connection so trying to remain calm and positive. 

Will check in on Mum and Dad today. Trying extra hard with my diet at the moment.
